An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built into your phone — no physical card to swap. Most flagship smartphones released after 2018 support eSIM, including iPhone XS and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, and many Samsung Galaxy S and Z series models.
To check: on iPhone go to Settings → General → About and look for "EID" or "Available SIM". On Android go to Settings → Network → SIM → Add eSIM. Your device must also be unlocked (not carrier-locked) to use a third-party eSIM.
After payment is confirmed, a QR code is emailed to you — usually within a few minutes. Open the email, scan the QR code with your device camera, and follow the on-screen prompts to install the eSIM profile.
The email also contains a one-tap install link for iOS and Android, and a manual LPA string as a fallback. You do not need to be at the destination to install — you can do it at home, and the plan activates once you connect to a local network there.
Yes. On dual-SIM devices (which support eSIM + physical SIM simultaneously), your home number stays active on your regular SIM while the Voyager eSIM handles data. Calls and SMS on your home number continue as normal.
In your device settings you can separately configure which SIM handles data, calls, and SMS. Most travellers keep data on the Voyager eSIM and voice/SMS on their home SIM.
eSIMs are digital products. Once issued or activated, they are generally non-refundable. Refunds are only considered if:
Refunds are not issued for incorrect details entered at checkout, device incompatibility, customer-side installation errors, change of mind after issuance, or network performance issues caused by local carriers. See the full Refund Policy.
Visit the My eSIM page and enter your Order ID (from your confirmation email) and the email used at checkout — no account or login required. You'll see your plan status, data used, remaining balance, and expiry.
Your confirmation email also contains a "Check your data usage" button that pre-fills your Order ID so you only need to enter your email address.
First verify your device is eSIM-compatible and unlocked. Then try:
If it still doesn't work, contact support with your Order ID and device model — we'll investigate and resolve it.
It depends on the plan. Some plans are single-country only; others cover a region (e.g. Southeast Asia) or are global plans covering 100+ countries. Coverage is listed clearly on each plan before you buy.
If you're travelling across multiple countries, look for a regional or multi-country plan to avoid needing separate eSIMs for each destination.
Use the contact form or email us directly. Include your Order ID, the email used at checkout, your device model, and a description of the issue so we can pull your order and respond faster.
We're available 24/7 and aim to respond within a few hours. For urgent situations (e.g. you're at the airport), say so in your message.
